Student Opportunities
This page is designed to help students and families prepare for life after high school by gathering important resources in one place. Here you’ll find information on college admissions, scholarship opportunities, and dual enrollment programs that allow students to earn college credit while still in high school. Our goal is to provide clear guidance and support as students explore their options, plan their next steps, and make informed decisions about their future.

Scholarships
FAFSA
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the form students complete to determine their eligibility for financial aid from the federal government, states, and colleges. It’s important because it can unlock access to grants, scholarships, work-study programs, and low-interest student loans, helping make college more affordable and reducing the need for high-interest private loans.
SAT & ACT
Taking the SAT or ACT offers several benefits for students planning to attend college. These standardized tests provide colleges with a common measure to compare applicants from different schools and backgrounds. Strong scores can help students qualify for merit-based scholarships, gain admission to selective schools, and even place out of certain college courses. Additionally, preparing for the SAT or ACT helps students strengthen important academic skills in reading, writing, and math that are valuable for college success.
Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment allows high school students to take college-level courses and earn both high school and college credit at the same time. This program helps students get a head start on their college education, save money on tuition, and build confidence by experiencing college-level academics early. It can also shorten the time needed to earn a degree and make the transition to college smoother. We offer two programs for Dual Enrollment at LCA.
